Coverage, register by register
NODE ID is built to read official registers directly wherever they can be accessed, and to rely on a third-party data provider elsewhere. This page describes each register's access model and the route planned for it. Connections are being rolled out: ask us about the jurisdictions you need.
Three ways to reach the data
Which one applies depends on what each register publishes and on the law that governs it.
Official register
Where a register offers an API or open data, NODE ID reads it directly. This is always the preferred route.
Third-party provider
Where no official source can be read by machine, a third-party data provider supplies company data and, in most countries, ownership. Its data is labelled as such.
Declared and verified
Where the ownership register is closed, the company declares its owners and each owner confirms with a digital identity. This is the route where the law requires consent, as in the United Arab Emirates.

A summary of the access model in each region.
Europe
National registers, mostly free for company data. Beneficial-ownership registers are usually restricted to obliged entities.
Middle East
Saudi Arabia through its official API. UAE, ADGM and DIFC through a provider, with ownership declared with consent.
Asia-Pacific
Singapore through official ACRA data. Other countries through a provider.
Americas
The United States through a provider; most state registers have no machine access.
Rest of the world
A third-party provider, with ownership in most countries.
Worldwide
LEI records from GLEIF link entities across borders.
Russia and Belarus are not connected
Because of the sanctions regimes that apply to them, NODE ID connects to no Russian or Belarusian register and sends no request concerning either country, even where a provider could answer it.

Behind this page is a catalogue that documents each jurisdiction: its identifiers, its beneficial-ownership threshold, its sources in order of preference and the legal rules of its registers.
- 251 jurisdictions documented, 203 of them through the third-party provider only.
- A documented jurisdiction is not the same as a live connection.
- Sources are ranked: free official source first, then a paid official API, then the third-party provider, then declared and verified data.
- The beneficial-ownership threshold is set per jurisdiction, 25 % by default.
